Why does God admittedly create evil and disaster if he is perfect and good?

Well if I was God I would get bored with all the people running around being all happy face all the time, so for fun I would throw down a lightning bolt or maybe descend and impregnate some chicks just to add some drama to their lives. Would you watch a TV show were nothing but good stuff ever happened, where there was no intensity or suspense?
