Husband wants a career change?!?!?

my husbands 20 and hes been a mechanic since he was 16.. now he said he doesnt want to do that anymore and he wants to be a fireman.. im kinda worried cuz it can be dangerous and we have a baby daughter.. obviously im not gonna say no you cant do that, were supporting him, is there any ladies out here married to firemen?? whats it like with the crazy hours and you bein home worrying bout them??xxx
