Knee pain after minisk surgery?

I'll start by saying i'm still in the construction feild and have had both my knees worked on.It was minisk related orthoscopic surgery and I am having problems finding a pain medication that I can take after work hours to releive the pain.When I spoke with my family doctor about this he said I was exibeting drug seeking behavior and he gave me a presciption for tynol 3. Eaven as a child tynol dose not work for me eaven for headaches.If you can give me some suggestions of NON narcotic pain medications i would be forever in your bebt. Thanks so much
