What can I do to give my '95 Vin Z 4.3 S10 some more power?
Sorry to be the barer of bad news but hardly anything will transfer from the W model to your Z model. The difference between the W and the Z is the injection. The Z is throttle body injection and the W is Sequencial Fuel Injection. You can put the basic add ons on it for power though: Cold air intake, performance plugs and wires, MSD ignition coil and module (this one helps a lot believe it or not), etc. If you can find a W engine, you can swap them, but that also includes the switching the wiring harness and PCM. You could buy all of this from your local junkyard. You might even get the wiring harness free with the engine. Just check each connector with a multimeter to make sure they all work properly. Also spray each connector with electrical contact cleaner and let it dry completely. I hope this helps. Good luck.
