What do I give my BFF for a wedding gift when attending it in Jamaica is getting very expensive?

Give what you can afford. I'm sure she realizes how expensive things are getting, so she should not expect a $200 gift. If she's truly a close friend, and you're flying that far, and going through all that I would say $100 is plenty. I'm not entirely sure of your financial situation, but if you have the option of giving more, than perhaps you should. I will also be flying across the country for a wedding, but the bride in my case has given the dress to me as a thank you. I plan to give $100, as that's really even more than I can afford.
